VIETNAMESE ALLBLACK

Coming to Te Whanganui-a-Tara (Wellington, New Zealand), Vietnamese All Black is an emerging voice in the indie rock scene, bringing a raw, personal touch to the scene.

The name Vietnamese All Black carries a personal history: growing up, Don's father often told him he'd be the first Vietnamese All Black — referencing the legendary New Zealand rugby team. While the path didn't lead to the rugby field, the sentiment lives on in his music. This project, though not composed of highlight reels or stadium chants, is no less powerful. It's a deeply personal expression of identity, experince, and sound.

Don has always been more in tune with songwriting than scrums, and through this project, he's carving out a unique space in Aotearoa’s music landscape.
