Based in Wellington New Zealand Ella Rolls is singer songwriter who writes pop music focused on storytelling. Being a kiwi but growing up in Tokyo Japan at an international American school she never truely felt a sense of home and belonging. Music was her escape, learning to write and articulate her feelings to a melody became home to her.
As a kid she was inspired to write by Taylor swift, an artist who still influences her, but her music now draws more on artists like Gracie Abrams and Jenson McRae.
Ella’s music is all about figuring out the world and your place in it, she hopes to be part of that escape for someone that music so often is for her and cultivate a sense of belonging, even if its just for the length of a song.
